Made up of a group of 1,190 tropical coral islands, the Maldives is a premier tourist destination. It is land of swaying palm trees and white sand beaches. Shining emerald and turquoise lagoons and the coral reefs themselves make it a major destination for scuba divers from across the planet. Divers lose themselves among the reefs teeming with a rich collection of marine life.
